Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the highest-quality "Fire-Roasted"
products for all cuisines by offering both branded and co-packing
solutions.
Company History
After moving to the United States, Miguel Barrios
could never find salsa quite as good as the salsa he had grown
up with in Mexico City. So, utilizing his heritage, he created
such a salsa by pioneering the open-roasted process in which
he "Fire-Roasts" all the fresh vegetables prevalent
in Mexican salsa products today. Established in 1988, Riba
Foods, Inc. is still a family-owned business and
remains one of the premier fire-roasting packers in the U.S.
Additionally, Riba Foods produces traditional Picante Sauces,
as well as Italian Sauces, Bar-B-Que Sauces, Drink Mixes,
and more.
In May of 2003, Riba moved from a 25,000-square-foot production
facility to it's new 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art
roasting facility with four times the production capacity
and plenty of room to grow beyond that.
With the expansion, Riba appointed Liberty Richter
as its field sales management team for branded products.
Products
Nine varieties of fire-roasted salsa, two bean dips, two
chili con queso (cheese dips), two Bloody Mary Mixers, and
five exotic pepper sauces are under the Arriba brand.
The Nortena Arriba brand has five varieties

recent brand developed is Comalera - four
flavors of picante sauce in 8-,16- and 32-oz. sizes.
New products include the first fire-roasted Bar-B-Que Sauce
in three flavors (Original, Chipotle, and Garlic). Riba Foods
is also proud to introduce in the U.S. the first Sangrita,
a popular Mexican drink that is made to sip with tequila.

The Arriba brand is supported by heavy trade promotions,
retailer ads, and local and national print advertising.
